Open Graph Tags
Open Graph Tag Integration in WizeHive
If you would like to share your WizeHive contest or application on Facebook, then you need to customize the image and description that accompany the URL. To accomplish this, you will need to edit the Open Graph tag. You will be able to identify in the Open Graph Tags one picture, one title, and one description that will show when the items in the gallery are shared. There is NOT currently an option to have the image from the item display on the share.
Open Graph tags are content placed in the head (<head> </head>) of the page where the public voting portal will be. When that page is referenced by a Share option, these tags will be used to help determine the way that the wall post is structured. In the absence of these tags, Facebook will "guess" at the best options to place there. The only tag that does not need to be changed is the "og:type" tag. All of the highlighted tags will need to be changed. Please view the picture below to see an example of what the Share feature will look like and to understand what each tag means.
Open Graph tags:
<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
<meta property="og:url" content="the url on your website for the voting portal" />
<meta property="og:image" content="thumbnail image URL goes here (Facebook requires that the image must be at least 200x200)" />
<meta property="og:site_name" content="contest name" />
<meta property="og:description" content="short description of the site site/contest or call to action" />
To test your Open Graph tags use the following link: http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug. Just copy and paste the portal url on your site into the input box and press Debug.
